Couldn't have put it better myself! What's your expected grade? Mine's an A*
i never thought science was my best, but my school made it mandatory for our year to do modules b1,c1,p1 and b2,c2,p2 and i got 98/100 on unit 1 and 100/100 on unit 2 so i got an A*. after i thought yeah im so good at science soo my teachers have predicted me A* but to be honest with ocr it doesnt test you on the ability to recall scientific information like igcse edexcel science, its stupid mark scheme learning and advantages and disadvantages of ridiculous things. the science fo ocr gcse is not that hard they are just very specific. hopefully ill get an A* on this i need it so badly but it is much harder then unit 1 and 2 ! im sure youll get your A*

Did anyone get 2001 for the beetle outbreak because it was the next time that the temperature was above what they can survive at? (-6)
I actually put 2002 because it was a year after the high temperatures in 2001. The exam had 1988 as the example but the actual year the temperature was highest was 1987. So answer=year after high temperature = 2002

i put 2002, just for the record. i found the pyramid of biomass quite confusing, I hadn't done one like that before

Yes it did ask for when the next outbreak would be after 1988 and i believe it is 2002 not 2001. 2001 was the year that the temperature was higher but the outbreak is delayed a year, hence I think it is 2002. They may give you 2001 though because it was a confusing question

i actually hope the grade boundaries are LOW this exam was really hard, OCR played mind games for the first time and asked really hard questions

Because in the exampled one, the temperature went above -6 degrees in 1987, However the outbreak of beetles was in 1988.

It was in my opinion one of the worst paper that i have ever seen. For eg the question on the bacteria nutrient to me didn't make sense in English terms. The graph question was stupid. There were 2 possible answer. I just hope they see their errors and ,well, compensate by reducing the boundaries
