Thanks 'like a boss' and 'sparks in the sky' for a genuine response, ok thanks I'll just keep working hard! I don't go to private school and I'm not from a privileged background so the rest of you should stop just randomly hating people who ask a question and go back to fiddling with your willy's. Merci x

How did you get an A* in English language?

Must have deteriorated since I took them.

They are GCSE grades right (some crazy people here in TSR, you never know).

But I would say assuming these are GCSE, they are good grades however you are probably more suited towards Arts because that maths b grade will not be looked upon favourably by the top unis. Really minimum maths a grade is a must in today's competitive world.

Dunno how you managed to get two A* in English but they're great results. I'd be happy with them!

Are you that insecure you need someone to tell you whether your grades are good or not?

    Yes, that's why I asked.

Rofl, for all you know he could have a second hand iPhone 3G. Just because you have an Apple device doesn't instantly mean you come from a priviledged background. There are things called "special treats" and "gifts" you know?

I think some people would have come here to give themselves an ego boost as they expected 'poor' grades.

For this person or for anyone else with the same concerns, there are many factors to consider with GCSEs, such as:

    - The school you went to and the average GCSE performance, i.e. getting 10 A*s will look better at a school with 30% 5 A*s-C rather than Eton.

    - Top universities will focus much more on your AS grades.

    - As long as your GCSEs are not staggeringly poor, most universities, top or non, will not care too much about them. They are an indicator of your academic performance throughout your time at school, but are not the most important thing.

Basically, in the words of B.A. Baracus, quit yo' jibber-jabber.

    //Not Trolling

I think they are pretty good but it depends what you want to do. The B in maths is a little disappointing especially as mathematics is one of them 'core' subjects. But hey, everything else is great so you should have no problems getting into a top uni.

I'm afraid to tell you that because you don't have that crucial and final third A* you wont even be loved by your dog. Most chances you got is change you name and run to a different country. I wish you the best of luck

They are way above average. With a B grade in maths I doubt you could get into a top uni for maths or science but anything else you will be fine.

OP; it's A Levels you should be worrying about...trust me, bcoz honestly, unis don't give a **** bout gcse's. i got into a R'Group/Red Brick uni for LAW with poor gcse's (i only got 2As at gcse). if i could go back in time, i still wouldn't retake my gcse's.

most uni's barely care about GCSE's,
I got five offers from Russel Groups with a C in one of my GCSE's so yeah, dont worry about it

that's because you flopped your A Levels...if you got/were predicted straight A's at A Levels (regardless of average gcse's), top unis would still consider your @ss

Are these grades above average? Also I know p.e and photog are considered weak. Would these grades look good for a top ten uni?

    Thanks x
Well GCSEs are easy so uni's don't really give a **** about them. You should obviously get mostly As if you want top ten or competitive courses.

A levels are what counts. End of.
