    BC language assistants, ASSEMBLE!!!
I have a question to put to all language assistants, current and prospective.

What has your uni told you to put on the Student Finance website for how you'll be spending your first year? (Under "Where will you be?")

Our uni has told us all to put "study abroad" on the shaky grounds that we do an independent study project (poor man's dissertation) alongside our job/assistantship/uni course (I don't know if this is common practice).

Lots of us suspect we are supposed to put "placement in the UK or abroad" instead.

So what did you put/what have you been told to put?

Work placement is the way to go. Make sure you tick that you've been accepted on an Erasmus scheme though it you'll only get £2342. Hope this helps

Thanks for your help but I've never seen any option relating to Erasmus on the website
