AQA French Reading, May 17th ?
I have to say that I've done some easier reading papers in the past few years, but overall this one wasn't too bad. The aeroplane question and the horse question was horrible though, what did people get for them? Hope the exam went well for all you guys, no more GCSE French now! (just 2 more years of A Level! :P)

Hey! Yeah the aeroplane question i put that you could buy a book from the bargain store, however i think it may be holiday book. Also a disadvantage of traveling by air was that you cant do exercise and get fresh air. Um, first question i wasn't sure about so put that the parents needed to listen to the recommendations or w/e so that the kids are less stressed when travelling. The last question i put that you had to see how much time you would be spending before leaving for your flight, and then something about arriving at the airport a long time before you thought you were meant to thus causing a bad mood. Horse question i cant remember, haha!

Yeah I Got that you had to spend longer than you thought in the airport due to bad weather too! and i think that the other one was that the waiting before your flight was endless! And I put "Holiday books/guides" because i wondered if cahier de voyages could mean a holiday guide?? But then i spoke to my mum and she said that cahier was more like a textbook that you would write in, not a printed one :/ So i'm not sure if they'll accept it or not, AQA can be pretty picky!!! What did you guys get for the horse, Senegal and mother's day ones?!? xox

I put a vacation book or a scrapbook And then wrote that the problems about it were that you have to plan early to be at the airport on time for hours before the plane leaves, and that sometimes people might stay longer because of problems...

I put small toys ('jouets') so I'm safe

Overall I thought it was quite easy to be honest; will compensate for the horrific listening!

The Senegal one was that her father has a job so they can buy food unlike others; people rarely are successful at escaping to other countries...

The horse one was the hardest in my opinion; she would like to prepare them for the walks?
I put that the disadvantage was that during some months there wouldn't be as many walks or something like that, can't remember..

The other questions were eaaaaasy though, so I'm cool

Oooh. I got confused on that one because of the word 'mortes' so I thought that 6 million people had died in the sea! Doh.

No they did die in the sea,Dont worry :P (although it was 6 thousand people, not million)!!! That was deffo in the text so they might accept that for "What rarely happens" But i think the answer was supposed to be that they are rarely successful at escaping to other countries xox

I feel to cry. The listening went horrible and so did the reading, in my opinion they were miles harder than any other past papers I completed. Reading what you guys got I think I kinda failed, feels like my speaking and writing grades have now been wasted.

Precisely. They often die in the sea - so they are rarely successful.

I put because they can read comics and colouring books.. I didn't have a clue for that one! The rest of it was okay though.

I think it was because they can read cartoon strips on the plane and do colouring.

it seems like i got pretty much the same answers as a lot of you which is good. i thought the mothers day question was relatively easy, along with the very first question. I also put that 6 million peopple died in the sea, not 6 thousand - come on, vocab!! feel like kicking myself now! anyway, after reading this I'm much more confident that I actually got a decent grade. Good luck on results day everyone

I agree partly - I feel that my 6 years of French now - KS2, KS3 and KS4 have been preparing for these two exams and they were way harder than the practise papers we have sat in class. I'm not holding up much hope, but I'm working hard on the other exams I've got so hopefully I won't feel so bad!

I thought I did pretty well in the speaking and writing so hopefully that will attempt to bring everything up!

I put magazines for the holiday book question. I thought cahiers were like exercise books??
