Re: AQA French Reading, May 17th ?
I found this paper hard, although compared to the listening exam it was very very easy! Agree with you all about waaaay harder than any of the past papers ive done... Seems a little unfair =(
Only thing I'm really annoyed about this exam is that I didn't realise 'reservations' could mean worries =_=! Damn english skills letting me down in a french exam! -
Re: AQA French Reading, May 17th ?Yeah, reservations are worries. But it basically means disadvantages of her desired job.(Original post by beth1995x)

Re: AQA French Reading, May 17th ?Yeaah -cahiers or exercise book or normal books. I wrote they could buy books about holidays or something along the lines of that.(Original post by RoryS)
I agree partly - I feel that my 6 years of French now - KS2, KS3 and KS4 have been preparing for these two exams and they were way harder than the practise papers we have sat in class. I'm not holding up much hope, but I'm working hard on the other exams I've got so hopefully I won't feel so bad!
I thought I did pretty well in the speaking and writing so hopefully that will attempt to bring everything up!
I put magazines for the holiday book question. I thought cahiers were like exercise books?? -
Re: AQA French Reading, May 17th ?yeah cahier is excerise book, grr I saw vacances so put holiday brochures because I didn't think you could get like holiday exercise books/holiday books, should have just put it. Another dumb mistake I knew promenade was walks, but I thought when talking about horses It might have meant like horse shows, so would have got that whole page wrong.(Original post by RoryS)

Re: AQA French Reading, May 17th ?des cahiers de vacances are like holiday workbooks with puzzles and wordsearchs etc.(Original post by Prettygeek)
To be honest- you couldn't really use common sense in that question- I mean, who buys exercise books when they're going on holiday?!
(do not remember it being on the vocabulary list though!)
