yes did that work?
i messed up the numbers so perhaps 1/2 out of 6 as i didnt finish it either,

I think so? but i can't really remember now!

so its like 5% for a^

Oh well I have no hope then....

Everyone at my school found this paper really hard. I understood most of it but the 5/6 mark questions were ridiculously hard, especially the B=sin60 (was this the same as the obtuse triangle question?) and kite questions.

Hoping that the grade boundaries are low as I lost at least 8 marks and really want an A^!

Really hard..I mean some of it was fine, but other bits I was just like whaaatt? Especially the find a one where it had dy/dx is double x=-1 when x=2..do you reckon about 50/70 would get me a B? I am praying for this...

Really? I found it harder than the practise papers- particularly the question with a kite, asking you to find the coordinate of point B. Do you remember what you got for the answer? No, sorry.

I got (2.4, 7.2)
it wasnt extremely hard,i think the mock i had was harder, and some of the practice papers were harder
also things like exam stress...can affect ur performance
can anyone get the paper from their centres?
Reply 46
did anyone get the last question?
and what anyone get for the factorising questions (question 2/3 I think)

Did everyone get 51degrees for the circle theorem question?

yep
yes, alternating angle and angle opposite (180-ans) cus its a cyclic quad and then minus 180 cus its a strait line.

last question went something like this,
tanx+1/tanx
so substitutate sinx/cosx in for both values, so u get sinx/cosx +1/sinx/cosx
simplify sinx/cosx + cosx/sinx
simplyify sinx squared +cosx squared=sin*cosx
sinxsquared+cosqsquared=1,thus ur answer is 1/sinx*cosx,
some answers,in general
1b= f(x) greater than or equal to 9,
matrices =10/17
angle =51
differentiation of that a thing=18
factorising 3(whatever it was)
proof 5(whatever it was) had 2 square the whole thing by 5

Did anybody manage to do the Kite question?
Reply 52
I thought it was considerably easier than the "mock" papers we were doing in preparation. That being said, I always do ridiculously worse on the calculator paper so I'll be dreading that for the next few days.

For the last question, I presume it was obviously to do with the identities & I just had a shot in the dark. It was like the 'SinB=60' question, I understood what we had to do but I was too lazy (aka I couldn't do it) to work it out so I just jumped a step and decided to just hope I get the full marks.

I was glad there was only one circle theorem question that came up as I just cannot do them, at all, goodbye three marks or whatever it was. The kite question also had almost everybody in my school puzzled.

Aw, well.

EDIT: & oh, for 'a' (whichever question it was), did people get 12?

you know that differentiation question, i got a to equal 12
is that right or wrong??

Yeah it took a while though
You had to find the equation of OB and use it and the equation of AC as simultaneous equations to work out the coordinates of where they intercept. Double these and you have your answer

i got x=6 and y=18, same as vince

Sorry, but this is wrong. It was y = 7.2 and x = 2.4. I went over it in class. With the paper and a teacher. Not me correcting you personally.

Your differentiation is wrong,
