lose cond offer b/c health issue? help :(
I just received my final semester law school grades, American system, and the grades were not good. I had a conditional offer to graduate with a 3.0 (but my gpa was 2.7 at the time). It went up from semester 1 (2.86) but fell again.

I had bad carpal tunnel and I had a surgeon write me a doctor's note asking for testing accomodations, but the school was very strict and barred me from testing accomodations this particular semester, and I know this is what hurt my grades. I work very hard, and these grades do not show that.

Carpal tunnel--finger numbness, sharp pains in wrist affecting typing; all exams are typed at very fast paces, I had one 24 hour typing exam, then 6 more hours of straight-up typing causing pain.

What do I tell the university people? Do they take health issues into consideration? Am really terrified

It's within the top 20 universities in the UK...I have great work experience and everything was fine, but now this..

Have you spoken with the disability service at your university? They may be able to communicate with your department and arrange for exam concessions, as well as given advice about mitigating circumstances.

Why did the university prevent you from having exam concessions?

The university are not doing you a favour by offering appropriate exam concessions, they are meeting their legal requirement.

If you're in America, then I believe there's a disability act (name escapes me) of some sort which protects you?

I did well in three classes (paper-based, where I could take breaks in between and rest my hands). The other two were fast paced exams where I wasn't able to take breaks in between.

The Americans with Disabilities Act protects those with disabilities, and carpal tunnel is considered by some to be a temporary disability, but even though the school covered it last semester, they chose not to this semester (and I honestly have no idea why; I had a valid doctor's note!)

My overall gpa is still the same thank goodness, but I'm still about .149 of gpa point away from meeting the condition...I sent in the results and right now, I'm praying really, really hard.
