well there was definately nothing unusual in there I would kill for a slope question tbh! but i don't really mind the unit 1 questions at all

Haha yaaay for that then , ooh same, just hoping there's nothing completely random thrown in..

Ooo, same, especially for electricity, that would throw me off a mile !

Ahh I'm jealous then haha! I think I just have a tendency to not actually read the questions haha, maybe that's where I'm going wrong..

I have the same problem too with history - just because of the crazy amount of knowledge/quotes I need to relearn, and I know I've still got a lot to improve on with physics, and since so many of my friends complained about chemistry I'm preeetty worried
Ah yes, I'm doing history as well next friday. Easily the toughest subject to revise for simply because you have to learn a ridiculous amount of knowledge on 9-10 sub units when you only end up writing two essays. Grr, crazy subject. I think after maths on monday I'll be buckling down to do endless hours of physics and history. Hello stressful nights...

Seems like we're doing the same subjects haha, why did we pick such stressful choices!? I'm dreading history just in case I can't relearn a lot of things in time after physics I'll only have one exam left though, which I cannot waaaaaaaait for!

Yeah same, especially when it's asking you to find the power or something, and you've got like three different formulae, it's all back to be not knowing basic circuit theory ha!

Oo i blame it all on that too haha! It's fine until they start putting all these LEDs and things in haha! the way i remember it is Series has an I in it, so the current remains constant through the circuit, then i work it out from there, very bad way of doing it :L!

I'm genuinely glad Geography was early this year. After maths on Monday I've got a full week to revise.

I know - at the end of last year I was stuck between physics and crash higher modern studies but went with physics in the end. Totally kicking myself for that right now  Sweet, which exam is that? I've got German next Tuesday after maths, but that's so easy I'm not really bothering to revise.

At least you know that lolol, I don't even know that much! Might need to have a look through someone's standard grade notes to help hahah

Same with me and crash higher business - same! I just thought 'oh, physics is alright...' but now it's soo not haha! Art.. and yea I'm crazy I'm the least arty person ever, and my practical is so awful but written is easy at least. German sounds exciting, I got stuck doing French ha!

I always seem to drop a high amount of marks on the description questions anyone else? It's alright for unit one, but for unit two especially I seem to lack knowledge in basic circuit theory which sucks.. going to go over them with my tutor again and hoping it helps - but he thinks there's going to be quite a lot of these type of questions this year since (according to him) in the new course there's lots of descriptions!
I always get close to 0 on description questions! Unfortunately for me, I'm sitting the new course and you do get a fair few of them, we also get to deal with a new type of explain question as well
I have a very very much less than basic knowledge of electricity - I failed every General level paper I did at SG so I'm not sure how I was even allowed to sit the exam

I don't do Higher Physics but can I ask how much is it like Standard Grade was?

Also how much can you rely on your Calculations to get a good grade >.>

Whats the difference between Higher physics and the revised higher? I never even new the revised higher existed until a few days ago! Just keep practising the explain questions! there are only so many that can come up !

Well, the Unit Electricity & Electronics is now just a half unit on Electricity, and we also do a small investigation project and presentation as a half unit instead. In the ODU Unit we also deal with special relativity (light and time dilation, also the doppler effect and Hubble's law as well) and those equations are really complicated oh my goodness! In the third unit (can't remember the name) I think we just go into things in slightly more detail in general, and we also have a small section on particle physics
They're also trying out a new sort of explanation question similar to the Chemistry ones. Y'know, a pupil writes this or an author writes this, use your knowledge of physics to explain what they've observed /or how they're wrong.

Ohh i see! Well i shall be learning all about this next year in advanced higher, yay! Oo those bloody questions! I do not envy you haha, those questions are an absolute bitch and i was extremely glad there was not one in this years higher chemistry paper :P! I wish i only had to do half a unit on electricity, it really is the thing I struggle with the most in physics but I'm sure i will pull through :P! Good Luck in the exam !

Yeah slope question would be great. I have a hunch that it will be a bearings question since it hasn't turned up recently (I think) :/

Have you all done Standard Grade? I'm in sixth year and crashed Higher Physics this year I just hope to high heaven that nothing to do with SG comes up! I was completely thrown in one of our prelims when it had a question relating to fibre optics (luckily, it was done over two days, so I asked my Dad and looked online to see how they work! )

I did Standard Grade and I've fairly struggled with the course, haha! How have you found it so far? I'm hoping for an A!

Don't know how to feel about the higher physics exam.. Got 87% in first prelim and 89% in the second but starting to forget some things now :/ especially graphs.. I hate them things.
