I've followed all the instructions in the manual for the phone and when I initially plugged the charger in, a white charging symbol with a line through appeared in the middle of the screen. I left it about an hour an a half and came to see how far it had charged but it only displayed a black screen. Because of this (and because there were no warnings about it in the booklet) I attempted to turn it on but nothing has happened. I've checked the battery and it's in place and I've left it "charging."

Does anyone know how long I need to wait until it's fully charged or if this is normal for the phone? I've searched forums online but I can't seem to find anything about this. One said to press (and not hold) the power button and it would say how charged it was but when I try that nothing happens either

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
