Real Life land law help needed??!!
I purchased a plot of land and there is a restrictive covenant in the title register stating that I the transferee need to pay the transferor, 20% of the total value of the plot when it is sold. Can this be a restricivite covenant???

I have learnt a bit about restricitive covenants and how they can bind third parties but how can such a clause possibily do that? it doesnt make sence to me plus it is included in the official papers from the land registry.

Could anyone please shed some light on this...

Who did the conveyancing for you? I think real life issues are best dealt with by professionals in practice rather than students. There are a few people in practice who contribute to this board. They may help. A little (student/academic) kowledge can be a dangerous thing.
