Opinions on this dress as a prom dress?
Soooo, I'd really appreciate some opinions on this dress as a leavers do dress. I always struggle with this kinda thing since the occasion is really... unlike me. I'm not one for getting dolled up in dresses, make-up, etc. so opinions are more than welcome.

I've actually already bought it online and tried it on, haha, I'm 5 ft 2 so it sits a little bit above the knee (which I was a bit unsure about, but my mum thought any shorter and it'd be a bit inappropriate for the occasion lol).
It's a convenient style, though, as it covers a comfortable amount of my pale skin (loool..) and I love the colours/print. The material actually has a bit of a shine to it, too, which you can't really see on the pictures which perhaps adds a bit more formality to it? Aha, I have no idea.

I'm just out of my comfort zone with the whole thing, and would love more opinions besides my mums  so I was wondering, do you think it's hideous or unsuitable for the occasion or....?

I think it depends on the school, 90% of girls at ours wore long dresses. The rest mid length, none short.
However ours was called a "formal" rather than a prom.

    That's one ugly dress.

OP, I quite like it. In comparison to most prom dresses which I usually find ott, this one's different; simpler yet still appealing.

That's beautiful, and will definately differentiate you from the other (no offence) puff ball gowns. Just make sure that it suits your shape and you've got yourself an outfit

Ooh lovely! The pattern is really pretty and summery, it's perfect for prom! Also it's a little different to the usual plain or embellished dresses that people typically wear to prom, it's great to wear something that isn't exactly the same as everyone else!

You'll look lovely, enjoy your prom

Yes, go for it, it's really nice and a bit different. The people who look best are normally the people who wear what they like, not necessarily the ones who try to go for a traditional 'prom queen' look, you know?
