Same, I answered the question on how Golding presents death as well, I think I did alright on that question.
I did To Kill a Mockingbird and the questions were pretty demanding, I was just blurting out points for the extract question, but I managed to get some detailed stuff out for the 'big' question after that. Done 8 exams and got 8 to go, really feels like I'm looking back on the exams I was dreading, also poetry isn't going to be too hard because we just need to make points and if we have enough evidence then we'll do alright.
I had no idea what I was writing on that TKAM question.. I had so little to talk about that I started saying about how Scout being on a different table to the others but in the same house as Alexandra meant that Scout could tolerate them but not too much (as they ate separately).. I waffled my whole way through it and I'm not expecting to do particularly well now

I did tkam too! Thought it emphasised the need for context!!!

Yeah, I made sure I applied some kind of relevant context stuff for nearly every point I did, mentioning the inability for America's new educational system to adapt to 'anomalies' such as Scout already being taught reading by Atticus for example. I think I didn't do so well on part (a) because I hadn't looked at that extract much and it kind of caught me off guard. How did you find it? Which other book did you do?

Ok maybe pointless was the wrong word to use, and I only hate it becasue i'm not good at, if i was i would love it...I find it impossible to like a subject that I can't do. So, pointless was the wrong word to use...forgive me
    You're forgiven

Oh :/ That's weird as I thought most schools gives study leave! I should count myself lucky then!
Oh That's sad as everyone is going different places Are you going with some close friends though?
Yeah you are lucky! Wish I got study leave, I get so much more done at home than at school where my friends distract me! Lol

I've got one closeish friend going with me and hopefully we'll be in some of the same lessons

AQA, I was just concerned because we have our C3 exam on Thursday and P3 next Wednesday, right after Additional Maths... , my brain will have literally turned to mush after that. It's a good thing I've got a long break until history in June after that.

It's probably the same stuff we're learning in science anyway, what was your exam like?
Oh right I see. C3 was really good, an easy paper so any mistakes I made were careless ones. Not looking forward to P3 though! Some of my freinds do Add.Maths, OCR FSMQ? You'll be fine don't worry Oh Lucky, I have 23 exams to go till the end!

We don't get study leave until after half term even though most schools in our region finished last Thursday. We were meant to and then the headteacher changed it to the 31st. Unimpressed. Lots of people are just staying off anyway and revising which is kind of unfair on those of us that are following the rules...

Just thought that I didnt write the paper reference code or the exam board (WJEC) on the front of the answer booklet. Oops!

I wonder if school (or someone) would have wrote it on for me...

    Feel silly.

I havent read though all the posts that were made while I was at school yet, but how did you all find English?? I have mixed feelings about it...

I LOVED the omam question, we did basically the same question for a practice one last week!! But I'm not so confident with my short stories answer....

Did anyone else here do short stories? Which question did you pick? 1 or 2? I chose one and I think I did part A great, I love 100% perfect girl...but I think I messed up part b...I wrote about compass and torch.. And I'm not sure if that story really works with the how they presented feelings, so I'm not sure if I answered the question? So I'm really worried!

oh wow, that's really interesting! i think people are put off by our school's music department so not many opt to do music in school, some do it outside... my school's known for maths and science more predominantly but it's also good for languages. i think she wanted a change really, she felt like she had gotten as much as she could have from our school and decided she wanted a new environment for sixth form!
Is your music department not great then? And ahh that's cool I'd rather my school was a maths college than a language one.. Awww.. Won't she miss going to school with you?

I am sure that if everyone in your year found it hard then the grade boundaries will be low and then you would have done good! After the exam today I am feeling a little bit more confident about A-Level but I still have poetry on thrusday which I am not too great at and then Language next tuesday but we will see how it goes I guess.

Good Luck for Thursday , I have English Language Tuesday to, but thankfully its just a resit to try and improve the B I got in Year 10

That sucks, our last days the 30th so a week on Wednesday, so my school finishes a day before yours and then we still have to go in to all the lessons we havent already had the exam in and all science lessons till we have our biology exam. But I guess some study leave is better than none! Lol

All 9?! Wow!!! Why are they making you do that? Oh and I need 65 I think
they leave all the exams till the end, it's pretty stressful at times! how many exams do you have left? that's easily attainable, you'll get that!

I'm sure it'll be fine, at least you didn't write you name wrong on the front of your paper like I did in French!
