I'm seperated in sets with people I don't get on with, lots who have not been particularly nice in the past..all my friends are seperate. I'm also not fully happy with my subjects..finding it hard not having any creative outlet. Now considering art AS again but worried it would weaken my medicine application...I would swap it with economics to have bio, chem, maths and art...

I know UCL like a contrasting arts subject but not sure about cambridge etc...

Just generally having a rubbish time
:hugs: On my induction day, people asked to move sets if they weren't happy and they were allowed to Maybe if you speak to the head of your Sixth Form he will also let you move sets? You have biology and chemistry, it'll be fine for you to take art instead of economics! It won't harm your UCAS application at all

But it was a tough match, they want on for like 3 hours! Did you see the 2 sistests? ( Venas sister ), after she one the match she says "I could have tried better" , "Im not even tired after it".

I was laughing hard after i saw that!
Yeah, but that was only because Nadal won a couple sets and tbh, Nadal was lucky to win them And the roof coming down was another factor which led him to lose (and which led to a longer match)...

Got my two induction days tomorrow, luckily at the same school I've been at so it won't be much fuss. Most of my friends have gone on holiday though so I need to find out who I can meet up with!

So who got excited over the discovery of the "God Particle" :P

    (Original post by larryb)
me but then got unexcited when people call it the god particle -.-

    (Original post by aefli)
Urgh, I felt the same way. There was a Mail article about it and calling it the "god particle" all the time it was mentioned. Religious spins should be kept out of scientific matters.
I'd laugh if they find another error again , it's good but tbh that money wold be better spent on feeding poor people. What do you think?

We could feed poor people, but without the Higgs, they wouldn't gain any mass.

    Sorry.

It's pretty much a certainty that they've found it. 4.9 Sigma is a very high chance indeed - almost 100%. There's a 1/2000000 chance that we're wrong. Spending money on the poor is all well and good. However, I still believe that spending money on the advancement of Physics, and furthering our knowledge of the workings of our Universe is also a very important thing. This is a historical breakthrough, and very significant in modern science indeed!
