Haha, i guess you're good at Maths then

I think everyone is nervous tbh  But there is no point in worrying, it's not going to change anything  Just enjoy your summer instead (I know, it is far easier said than done :frown: )

I'm doing kind of similar. I'm taking:

English Lit (AQA Spec B)
Chemistry (OCR SPec A)
Maths (Edexcel)- i've already done AS level
Biology (AQA)

xxx

That's great!
I thought that I was also doing OCR Chemistry but it turned out to be AQA:colondollar:
and I'm also doing English Literature:smile:

You should go but do two things beforehand: bring a group of friends with you and do not go on a rainy day! Ahh..it's fine. It's not like I'm going to see her again anyway so I don't really care about it:smile:

Oh right....what about tennis? Tomorrow's the men's final:woo:

Thanks for the advice! Ahh that's good

Yeah, the men's final should be great tomorrow! I'm backing Federer but I really wish Nadal was playing :cry2: Who are you supporting?

I went to both Kings and Trinity  Absolutely marvellous!

That's great! I'm going to visit Cambridge next year along with a friend to check out the university:smile: Are you planning on visiting Oxford too because the archeitecture there is amazing too! I visited Christ Church and Oriel back in April and it's marvellous there too!

'Twas fine thanks for catechising

I'd tenably like to study Maths + Physics, or Philosophy at Cambridge. I'm 90% (Maths + Physics) and 10% Philosophy-inclined at the moment. Notwithstanding, my propensity may transmogrify. How about you?

Really? Couldn't you just conventionally say "However, I may change my mind" :P

Your welcome:wink:

It will be great! Stating that my dad is a Federer fan like Pandora (but not that obsessed:tongue:) it will be great fun arguing all day! Ohh...I'm a Nadal fan too:biggrin: and I also wish that he was in the final too. I miss those Federer and Nadal finals....great tennis being played! But on a different note, I think that this is a great year for Murray to win, but if he doesn't, then at least he made history:smile:

You're the same as me, haha. I wish I did it at work experience but it was really difficult to get a placement, anyway, I doubt that experience would be valid, after all we were only young when we did it haha. I don't know whether they expect us to get it like they expect medicine applicants to get experience, but I don't think there's much we can do. My college offer work placements, and so do a lot of sixth forms I know, so you could ask them in September and I'm sure they'd be able to sort one out. This is thinking way into the future, but I know some degrees do work placements, languages send people to their chosen language's country and they often be teacher's assistants. I knew of somebody who did a physics degree and wanted to be a teacher, so the university set him up with a placement at a secondary school.

I don't think we really need experience at this age if I'm being honest, it's kind of cheating seen as we are the same age as the people we want to teach, haha. There will be loads of opportunities hopefully with college/sixth form and university, and they're well before teacher training. :-)

Sorry for the late reply pal.

Thanks for that, really good to know someone else is in the same boat. We'll have to keep in touch

So what are you interested in teaching?

I could, but then who would have the tincture of idiosyncrasies? :colone::colone::colone:

Ahaha you and your amazing gifs

I'm good too, thanks  Just been watching Wimbledon and reading since the exams were over

Good.. Make the most of the free time while you have it! :colone: :colone:
Quite a few people have been asking me to upload pictures of CERN + Cambridge. Unfortunately, I couldn't take that many pictures of CERN, but here's my holiday ebbed from 300 pictures into about 15-20..

At CERN (before the discovery of the Higgs, approximately 4-5 days before (first day of Holiday).

Same day, travelled down to Lake Geneva (about one hours drive away).

Halfway through excursion (traipsed along to the Alps (French side) ):

(Our fugacious abode. What sublime verdure.):

Unravelling the rescripts of the cosmos and our temporal oblate spheroid with my cerebral vim...

View from our terrace.

A placid and halcyon pond we espied on our return.

YOLO@!@!@!@!@!@

Went to Monaco and the casino there. I beheld two ferraris, three porsches, two bentleys, and a bugatti veyron. :colonhash:

On the day of the discovery of the quasi-boson (Higgs perhaps)... My camera died before I could get inside. DIJODASIDJOAISJDOIASDJ...

These are all I have of Cambridge + CERN (two T-shirts were procured from the Inter-realm). My floor... *weeps at my defunct camera and its pitiable battery-life. Was a hedonistic-'ally' resonant jaunt though!

This is for Charlie, but I was oblivious to reminding him...

Newtonian Mechanics... *drools*.

I also have a white T-shirt but that's undertaking its ablution in the washing-contrivance!

That's all folks.

I feel exactly the same haha. Obsessing over Maths and English Literature results the most!

Wow, Cern looks great! Did it feel like there was a buzz there over the potential finding of the Higgs?

Was disappointed about the lack of Cam college pics, though :frown:

Some arbitrary physicist gave me an overwhelming embrace and hugged me. ^_^

He was French and was a worker for CERN and just said "Higgs! Higgs". This was just 5 minutes after the discovery.
Mhm, I've got some from the last time I went, (about 55-60 pictures), but they're nothing too garish or ostentatious. Charlie'll have some delightful ones, I'm sure.!

I'm also off to Winstanley  what're taking?

Quoting Wikipedia doesn't prove your point lmao.

And hawking didn't say it was possible. He said it might be. We do not know if it possible to warp space time enough to create worm holes. So no - Hawking didn't help you there either.

Maths and physics for definite. I think im going to do chemistry aswell but not 100% sure. and either geography or economics. What about you:smile:

Wow 5 AS's? That sounds like a lot of work! What do you want to do as a job in the future? x

Haha I know :s
but to be honest I'm not really gonna bother much with world development, i didn't really have much choice about taking it, (it was either that or R.E)

I was thinking of forensics (but that is soo popular at the moment I don't think I'd stand a chance)
So maybe something to do with medical physics (x-rays, CT scans etc.) because I already know a lot about it because I'm at the hospital a lot

What about you xx

Original post by xAlice95
Thanks, a couple of other people said it probably wouldn't matter either, I guess if they have a problem they'll ask me..or I might tell them when I go to work Sunday...

Thanks  x

Yeah I think that's a good idea  x

Awesome! I'm going to CERN sometime in November and I can't wait  It looks great
