someone motivate me.....diet
i used to eat utter junk food all the time
im not fat/thin im just a little bit chubby.
I dont seem to put weight on though no matter how much i eat. I seem to just maintain the size i am.
recently, ive been trying to eat more healthily, and have managed to not eat much chocolate, and even eating lots of fruit every day!
ive also been going to the gym 3 times a week as well as swimming.
but every time i get changed i still see how fat i am and it just demotivates me. I feel like i should just carry on eating junk food because ive got roll after roll of fat anyway and its never going to go
ive considered making myself sick but havent yet. (and obvs i dont want to).
when your chubby how can you motivate yourself to not eat junk food when the good results seem so far away?!?! -
Re: someone motivate me.....diet
How long have you been eating healthy and exercising?
I'm no expert, but I know it does take some time to see any results. Just try to stay motivated because if you are being healthier, it can't get any worse than it was and you will eventually see the results. Once you see the results, you will feel so good about yourself. It's worth the hard work. -

Make a food diary!
I use www.myfitnesspal.com
You can enter your weight, height etc and it will tell you how much weight you will lose in a certain amount of time if you follow their calorie/exercise recommendations.
It motivates me because I can add up all the calories after each meal and see how much I have left for the day, letting me know exactly what and how much I eat, and motivating me to keep my calories down.
Knowing exactly what you eat helps you to cut out the bad things, and also watching programs like 'Supersize vs superskinny' and 'Secret Eaters' motivates me because it shows you how bad it is to eat loads of crap!
Good luck

The truth of the matter is, you should never look in the mirror and consider yourself perfect. Yes, you should be able to look in the mirror later down the line and say 'I think my body is great', but you have to realise there is no limit, you can always do better. Do you think when paula radcliffe won her first olympic gold, her trainers patted her on the back and said 'see you in 6 months'? I guarentee you probably a week or two later they sat down and pulled her race to shreds and picked every miniscule flaw out of it.
See it as a never ending journey, dont get bogged down by timescales.
you need to get into the mindset of 'being the best you can be' not that the quest stops when you reach X kg.
Also, print out some reasons to be healthy. Above your mirror stick the reason you have started this change.
And move away from subjective judgements. Weigh yourself, record your swim time over a distance, anything. Your body will not change suddenly, you probably have already changed, you just see yourself everyday so you dont notice it.
The issue of being disappointed about results is common to everyone. When I was competing in X country, I could go through the exact same emotions when I ran race times that I believe I was better than. The same for olympians for fail to perform.
If everybody saw world changing results in no time, we'd all be olympians.
See every session a step towards where you will be happy with yourself, not as an event that will drastically change you.
