True that :L(Original post by Mad Cat Lady)
You know Apple's playing their cards right when everyone wants to buy their iPads but barely anyone can find a good use for them...

I bet losing an iPad is so annoying. But hard too. They are huge!(Original post by hslakaal)
Reading RSS feeds, really light browsing on the net when I can't wait/be bothered to turn my laptop on.
The above was of course before I lost my iPad and before I bought a smartphone.

Would you say you could easily replace a laptop for an iPad?(Original post by RibenaRockstar)
General web browsing, notes in class, draw something, instant messaging.
A whole week can go past without me using my computer.

Re: What do you use your iPad for?A laptop, yes. A computer, no. So if you would otherwise buy a laptop/netbook to use in addition to a desktop, fine, but every so often (revision time, Maths papers don't display well) I do need to use a PC. Before I got my iPad, I was considering getting a smaller more portable laptop for uni, but instead I'm keeping my big one on my desk and using my iPad as a laptop.(Original post by Mr Bee)

Long battery life is a big plus over a laptop. -
Re: What do you use your iPad for?
Bf doesn't own a laptop but he uses his iPad every day to fix up stock spreadsheets, email his boss, facebook, basic video editing, Instagram, playing games on the move and listening to music/video on the move.
Obviously he could these things with a laptop but he doesn't have one- and mine is ****ed and I don't have the cash for a new one. -
Re: What do you use your iPad for?An iPad for me does not replace a laptop. There is multitasking but its not like on a real os, so you cannot play music on youtube and browse the web, some apps do work in background but some don't, the browser is not like a proper laptop one as well, as there is no flash player and you do miss the keyboard, however saying that its great for reading papers/magazines/book and general browsing (tsr) whilst watching tv, plus you can only download whats on the app store (unless you jailbreak) which can limit your downloading freedom.(Original post by Mr Bee)

Re: What do you use your iPad for?iPad allows 9 at a time(Original post by Dastrea)
If I remember correctly, iPad only allows one internet tab at a time, is there any tablets which allow multiple or am I wrong about the iPod? -
Re: What do you use your iPad for?
Why are you considering buying an ipad if you have no use for it? Sounds like you're buying something just becaue everyone else has one.
Personally, I don't think they're worth the money. If I want to go on the internet, I have my laptop. If I need something easy to carry around and still want to go on the internet, I have my phone. If I want to read a book, I go to the library or use my kindle. If I want to make a phone call, I use my mobile.
It replaced my laptop and now I just have a desktop computer instead- which works way better
