Are Pre-U's Recognised?

Is there any disadvantage when applying to universities if some A-levels are Pre-u's? I am doing English Lit and History Pre U, and just wanted to know if they are thought of any differently at all?

They are definitely recognised. Check UCAS subject requirements! Shouldn't be thought of differently at all.

^ As above. Definitely recognized. Sometimes considered harder than A-Levels as well.

Hi,

I work for the examinations board that offers Cambridge Pre-U and can reassure you that it is accepted as equivalent to other pre-university qualifications by over 225 universities around the world, including Oxford, Cambridge, Yale. Harvard, McGill and Melbourne. The UK’s Russell Group have said that they welcome its rigour, retention of subject specialism and linear approach.

We work closely with university admission staff to explain the distinctive features of Cambridge Pre-U, and with schools to support the university applications of Cambridge Pre-U students.

A full list of higher education institutions who have confirmed their recognition of Cambridge Pre-U can be found at http://recognition.cie.org.uk by searching on Country, Higher Education and Cambridge Pre-U.
