    Shoegaze
    Anyone like the genre?

Examples of shoegaze bands; My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Ride, Lush, Chapterhouse and Pale Saints.

I remember when I first heard My Bloody Valentine's album, Loveless and Slowdive's Souvlaki, they are both incredible albums.

Yep I like shoegaze. I love MBV and Slowdive, the others you mentioned are ok, but I'm not so big a fan of them.

Lovesliescrushing, Cocteau Twins, the daysleepers, ringo deathstar, school of seven bells, alcest, alison's halo and a place to bury strangers are some of my favourites.

And while not STRICTLY shoegaze, The Angelic Process are amazing

EDIT: I have loveless as my profile pic, says it all

I just love Pygmalion by Slowdive. I also like Dragging a dead deer up a hill by Grouper.

Yeah, I noticed! It's a shame there aren't many videos of MBV playing live. The only one I can find is To Here Knows When; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DEnwUAzPG4

Ahh the Cocteau Twins, I think their album Treasure is beautiful; I really like Lorelei and Amelia.

You don't like Ride? I think their album Nowhere is one of the best from the 90's.

I think you two should check out Fragile by God Is an Astronaut - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh8QtCO-wQ4

^Ride are ok, as are the others, but not the sort of thing I would listen to on a regular basis. Just remembered more recs. The Veldt, all natural lemon and lime flavors, and presents for sally

Whirr are awesome, and Mogwai are yet another post-rock band I don't really like

One of my favourite CT tracks.

Maybe try this other project with Robin Guthrie?

That was beautiful. What about This Mortal Coil? I think Fraser and Guthrie were both involved in that project.

Yeah I love VI's vocalist. Kind of sexy sounding, relaxed, beautiful.

I've listened to them quite a bit, though I'm not overly familiar. I remember listening to one album and really liking it. Got some more recs (from above):

    (soulgaze?)

First listened to all these albums in a day. Was a very good day.
