Hi there,

Would like to know what you guys think of UCL & Bath for MSc Computer Science, and which of these two would you choose and why?
I graduated from Warwick BSc Computer Science and most friends suggest UCL as it has a better reputation. But my concern is that it is more competitive in UCL to get a good grade than in Bath.
Do employers value the name of the university more or the grades you get? For example, say if A gets a Merit from UCL and B gets a Distincation in Bath, and their performances in the interview are equaly as good, which of them two stands a higher chance of getting the job?

Are you seriously saying you would rather go to a less prestigious and lower ranked uni just for an easier ride?

Well if employers take the grades more seriously than the "brand name" then why not take the easier ride? Providing that Bath is a great uni too.

Have a look at the syllabus before making the choice! Don't pick a uni just because it has international prestige or because it's easy.... Just choose the one whose course you like most, in the end that's all that really matters!

Don't be fooled into thinking Bath's MSc is significantly easier than UCL's.

Thanks for the responses. Have decided to go to UCL.
Planning to live in Tottenham Hale (they have some private student accommodation there).. Do you guys know if Tottenham Hale is a safe area?
