    Private accommodation in Swansea
    Hey guys!

I was wondering about private accommodation in Swansea. How has everyone found their house for next year? I had a look through the agency that uni recommends, are there other ones?

    Taah! xo

The majority of people will have found houses for next year by now as we get kicked from halls in about 6 weeks.

If you google "student accommodation swansea" or the like you should get a handful of other sites to have a look at. Alternatively there are people looking to fill single rooms in houses for next year still where people have dropped out or whatever.

There's still quite a bit around. I was there last weekend and many landlords were still holding out for groups (which was a bit of the pain since I'm just looking for a room).

Did the university tell you this? There were people in the latter half of the year staying for only one semester in university halls so they should be able to provide accommodation for you.

Just to update, found a nice room with the help of Matthew from fresh.

I also found rooms on Swansea's Met's accomodation site (if you email the housing office they'll give you log in details) and http://www.accommodationforstudents.com/.

Hi do you know if utilities are included in the rent for fresh accommodations?

Ok, firstly a few things have happened and I was royally messed about by Fresh. I ended up having a property fall through only a few days before I was due to move in. It turns out they'd been advertising it both as a student let but they also had it for sale. So I can't recommend Fresh.

Fresh, are agents they don't run the properties them selves. It's down to the individual landlords. But most will expect you to pay your own bills.

Thanks for the update. Thinking on making Swansea my firm choice if I'm accepted after my interview. I've seen some wonderful flats online that are located next to the rugby and cricket ground. Do you think it would be wise to live there in regards to noise?

I'm in a house outside the rugby ground and I have yet to hear any noise from the sports side of things. On occasional evenings there is noise from a bar in the ground but only because the entrance is opposite my house and its nothing bad.
