Why did you buy COD again?
I bought Battlefield 3 instead of MW3 last year. However, two days ago I had a go on MW2 for a few hours and enjoyed it. I was just watching a video on youtube about camping and as soon as it came up I was like 'oh, why are they showing a MW2 video? About 7 minutes in I saw a piece of equipment and suddenly realised it was MW3. It is seriously no different to MW2.

Now, I think the COD line in general is really good. They are great games and that can't be disputed. I always have a great time when I play them. However, BF doesn't come out each year like COD, but when it does, there are always massive improvements in gameplay and graphics. I don't understand why people bought the COD game again when such a great game as BF3 came out. If you give BF3 a chance, give it a few days, it is a much better game than MW3 - NOTE: NOT THAN THE COD LINE IN GENERAL - in that respect it is down to your preference - BUT IN COMPARISON TO MW3, BF3 is definitely a better game. People may obviously dispute this on the lines they don't like BF gameplay and yeah, that's fine, I understand that. But there was nothing new, fancy or different about MW3 - MW3 fooled me into thinking it was MW2.

I wish MW3 was no different to MW2. MW2 was/is my all time favourite game, but MW3 sucked

I rent CoD because I like the storyline.
Granted it isn't great. It is fun though, has a Die Hard feel to it. I think Captain Price is awesome.
Don't give a crap about the MP.

I've heard so many good things about it. I may also buy cod4! You can get it quite cheap these days.

Renting is a good idea... to spend £40 on a game for a 7 hour storyline would be pretty stupid haha

you got an xbox or ps3???

We could arrange a tsr match or something on cod. It's sounds a little far fetched but it would be cool..

    I got a ps3 btw....

I still play on COD4 but the amount of modded lobbies I've entered is one reason why I sometimes just get the newest COD out. I have no issue with the number of games released each year given that I used to play on FIFA and PGA. Both of these series have short online functionality and the latter has chosen to put TPC Sawgrass as DLC on one game, which put me off the series completely. I've no objection to DLC but it's the pinnacle course. They did the same with Pinehurst too from my understanding. :/

I wait for the game to be a little cheaper then buy it for the single player. I still can't think of an FPS series with a better campaign, though Resistance 3 came close, and Half life 2 was like 8 years ago now.

Anyone else misread that line at first?

I got World At War and COD 4 because my brother bought MW2 and I love it (and I'm better than him at it ), I only really play on the Zombies bit of World at War but I like COD 4. He's now bought Black Ops and I'm better than him at that too

Essentially, I bought it because it's the first ever FPS (or any game for that matter) series where I'm better at it than him

I've had every COD game since I was like 10 years old
    COD Finest Hour
COD 2 The Big Red One
    COD 3
    COD 4 Modern Warfare
    COD 5 World At War
    COD 6 Modern Warfare 2
    COD 7 Black Ops
    COD 8 Modern Warfare 3

It would be wrong not to carry on getting them I don't take them too seriously; I only prestige like once and on some I haven't even prestiged. They're just good fun, I've got BF3 as well.

Black Ops 2 promises non linear single player gameplay. Sounds insane XD

non linear gameplay means that in the story mode, you can choose what happens, like when your about to kill a VIP, it might give you the option to simply kill him with your knife, or throw him over the deck and into the sea (if your on a sea mission )

Well I had WaW MW2 and black ops and I think MW2 was best and feel that black ops is a bit more of a true shooter more feels more like you work for kills online however it should have had more memorable stages imo but tbh I dont know wtf will happen with black ops 2 I swear I saw metal gears O.O
Anyways now I dont play as many fps shooters but gonna buy ghost recon future soldier and already have BF3 which I like.

Treyarch are saying that you could experience the campaign completely differently to your friend. The ending itself could be different, and decisions you make effect the outcomes of stuff Sounds cool right?

Yeah, but you have to remember that developers have been saying that since Fable 1, and every time they say it the game turns out to be extremely linear and an "all roads lead to Rome" result.

I got MW3 for christmas because I really enjoyed the MP on MW2. BlOps didn't cut it for me though.

5 months on and still not played it due to Skyrim. Almost certainly will not get BlOps 2.

Probably not. I don't really have the time for it anymore and I enjoy BF3 more (although I still think BFBC2 is better)
