Try First Tutors.
It's free to signup and use.
I do tutoring occasionally for uni linguistics students and my girlfriend gets a new tutee about once a month.
Just remember that the summer months are the quietest to pick up tutees as they (and their parents) aren't worrying about exams and enjoying the sunshine/rain/cold weather. -
Re: Tutoring job in the summer holidaysThanks! What do you think about going to a local primary /secondary school and giving out flyers to parents?(Original post by Tomby1)

Re: Tutoring job in the summer holidaysIdeally, you'd need permission from the school to do that and they are often less than friendly towards personal tutors.(Original post by choc1234)

Word of mouth and online advertising is probably your best bet - and of course you can always hand out flyers to friends who can pass them on to their families, who pass them on to their friends etc etc
