Re: Ideas for date?
If it's a first date, don't do an extremely formal thing like dinner, although you could at somewhere a lot more chill like Pizza Express or Nando's. I'd suggest a drink at a bar (if you're legal that is) or a coffee and a walk. You can't just go for a walk; your date will probably think you're cheap.

depends on what stuff there is around where you live. a walk is nice if you bring a picnic or go to a cafe or something. cinema is good, but may be a bit stereotypical. you could try something adventurous, or have a trip to a nice town/city. where abouts do you come from? what is he/she into?

Don't just go for a walk. As someone else said, she might think you're cheap. Coffee is always a good idea, and because it's casual, it takes off the pressure compared to say, a meal or something. You could always go for a walk afterwards if it goes well and you want to get some fresh air / cafe gets too busy.
I'd avoid the cinema for a first date. You won't have much chance to talk, and if things aren't going well, you can't up it and make a polite exit like you can with a coffee date.
