Cannot wait for the new season.
When does pre-season training begin? 6th of July isn't it? -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIII think we will be active. We definitely need to be if we are to stand a chance of getting higher up the league(Original post by Zerforax)
He had a decent tournament but England set up like underdogs. We know he can play that disciplined role in the big games.
Amazed with how quiet everything has been lately. Can't see us being that active this summer.. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIII'm a bit torn about this. Yes we need to replace some of the out going players and we do need more quality up front but too much chopping and changing won't help the team either.(Original post by Stirlo)

We've had about 3 summers in a row now where we've had massive changes each time and it seems to have hindered us more than helped. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIII definitely agree with you on that, but the quality of players we've bought in isn't going to be good enough to get us back up there. If we compare our squads to the other top teams we're languishing well behind really and are really going to struggle this season if we don't add some better quality. There's rumours circulating on twitter that Levy is in America to get investment from a mega-rich US consortium for Spurs. If that is true they will spend heavily too(Original post by Zerforax)

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIII
Tbh I think I'm more concerned about the manager getting the most out of our players. Bar a couple of months*, our players have underperformed for the last 3 years imo. We've seen flashes of brilliance but not for a sustained period. Think it's a case of the right tactics and giving the players the confidence they need, something we've been missing in conjunction with each other for some time now.

In German, but looks like he'll sign for a PL club by the end of the week, just need some finalising to do. Didn't state which PL club though, but most likely spurs.
