Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIISahin said roughly translated and stolen from the Arsenal thread:
"If I'm forced to temporarily leave England is a league that interests me. I always have admired teams like Manchester, Arsenal and Chelsea. Tottenham are a good team also, and Mourinho has told me that Villas Boas is a very good guy. It would be kind of funny when Modric went to Madrid, and I went to London "
"I would not be interested in a team that are not competitive, such as Newcastle or Liverpool. When I am gone, I would like to improve as a player and to do that I have play with other quality players, which I do not have at those clubs." -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIIThe first time we were really alerted to Kelly's potential was a 2-1 defeat vs Lyon at Anfield. Kelly started at right back, and it was Rafa who put him there. I thought at the time that it was his debut but apparently it wasn't, and he was absolutely magnificent. We were winning 1-0, he went off at 75 minutes, and then they scored two late goals. I think he's played right back for the U-21s too. Though I agree, I'd like to see him play centre back for us. Johnson is good enough at RB for a few more years.(Original post by jam277)
He plays RB in the first team because you guys had no left back when konchesky went on loan so had to use johnson there and kelly/flanagan on the right. Rafa also said that when hyppia left that kelly could have broken in the first team. I think he's just changed position to right back but can still be retrained back, jamie carragher is a good example of someone who's done it before. Sergio ramos a more recent example. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIII
There's just no sense in selling Agger.
The strongest part of our team is defence. If Reina is on decent form, Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique barely leaks any goals. Then we have Kelly, Carragher, Coates as really decent back up. LB we're very weak but Robinson is good enough to play there temporarily. Just never did much this past season due to injury.
Where we do need to improve is attack. We've bought Borini which is okay, but we've sold Maxi and Kuyt and not properly replaced them, and we needed another goal scorer anyway.
Think last season he managed 27 league games for us which is his joint highest in a season. This last season he only had broken ribs at one or two points and you can't really prevent that or anything though.(Original post by Gob Bluth)
Agger is injured a lot though isn't he?
Bear in mind though that we still had Carragher/Hyypia there when he first joined in 05/06 etc, and Hodgson never played him at all either at the start of the 10/11 season I think.Last edited by Jim-Jam; 07-08-2012 at 20:42. -

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIILook at the responses. Nearly every single one agreed with him - I last looked about twenty minutes ago. I mean, what? That is tribalism taken a step too far, one giant ****ing step.(Original post by DaveSmith99)
I thought it was going to be a link to RAWK, then its a link to Kenny Daglish's sons twitter
Next they'll be saying they wouldn't swap Skrtel for Thiago Silva. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIIClearly that is a moronic thing to say as Neymar is far, far better than Suarez on the game.(Original post by lol_this)
another one that uses football manager to see if players are good or not. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIIIt's funnier when its Kenny Daglish's son though.(Original post by Gob Bluth)
All football clubs have their moron support. Hell out of much of the big sports in the UK most of the cretins with low IQ like football. So you are going to get idiotic things said by any fan from any club. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIIi think paul is talking about dos santos on football manager being good, so he thinks that he is good in real life.(Original post by Mess.)
Clearly that is a moronic thing to say as Neymar is far, far better than Suarez on the game. -
Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIIIt was? Well i stand corrected then. Stupid lad(Original post by DaveSmith99)
It's funnier when its Kenny Daglish's son though.

Re: The Liverpool FC Thread VIIIFar more embarrassing, really don't know what he is playing at saying that.(Original post by DaveSmith99)
It's funnier when its Kenny Daglish's son though. -
He often comes out with stupid comments. It isnt just with liverpool players, he has some odd, backward views on a lot of players/other football topics which most people find laughable.(Original post by Mess.)
Far more embarrassing, really don't know what he is playing at saying that.
No, id hope that nobody here agrees with what he's come out with re neymar + suarez
