so stop talking as if you're close to top four and could easily get it.

They're not too far off tbh, and they could if they 'sort themselves out' as he said, i.e. become more clinical and stop shipping soft goals. Very big if though, imo if they want any chance of top 4 they have to try and keep in touch until january and spend in the transfer window.
So is it new thread time yet?

People can laugh at him as much as they want as he can be a bit of a mug sometimes but there's nothing wrong with what he's saying, we aren't far off 4th. Our first choice defence is solid, it was just one of those days. We just need another striker.

Anyone want to start one or should I just copy and paste the OP of this one into a new thread?

You could say that of half the teams in the midtable. If they sorted out the defence and signed a true goalscorer, sorted out the form they could make a push for 4th.

Our defence is fine. Before today we had the 3rd best home record wrt goals conceded. Today was just a one-off.

Looking at the table, we've conceded the same as United away and at home. Only difference is that United's attack is ridiculous.

Yep. And they know how to buy players. We payed 13,000,000 more for Carrol than they did for Van Persie.. >.<

Seems that the clubs who bought strikers instead of 'making' them are doing well. We've been doing it wrong this while time!
