It's unbelievable that more teams haven't targeted the German league properly yet. We saw Newcastle do it with the French league last summer. It's the kind of thing we need to be doing.

Hopefully Rodgers has a good eye for talent. And with Pep Segura being promoted, we may see more continental players coming in.

I don't really see many Bilbao players leaving. There is a different sense of attachment to the club and this is a period of time (the first in quite some time) where they have a number of potentially great players who are coming through).

I wasn't particularly referring to German players. More the likes of Ba, Papiss Cisse. There's plenty of good talent in the league that you can get for decent prices. But yes, most German players are snapped up by Bayern. Dortmund will be getting more as well, as seen by the purchase of Reus etc.

Isn't Rodgers with the Spanish team for the Euros? I thought he was meant to be shadowing the coaching staff for a short period at least.

He was supposed to while he was Swansea manager but once he became ours, he decided to cancel that apparently.

I think it would have still been beneficial to go, however the politics aspect of it would probably be a bit too much for a manager of a higher profile club.

I think it was more because at Swansea, he had already prepared all summer activity for the club so could afford to take the time at the Euros.

Over here, he has to make a new plan, identify transfer targets and set up his own system so maybe cannot afford to take time off shadowing the Spanish team?

Those talking about Rodgers' eye for talent. Very good at Swansea really. Swansea had close links with some Dutch teams for example. I think Rodgers will do well looking for talent in France/Germany/Holland and theoretically it should work as those talents often work out in the PL.

What are you on about? Dyer is quality, and he's still very young, better than the Ox for example at this moment in time. Prefer Dyer to Sinclair too.
