Kagawa is an amazing player and Man Utd have got him for stupidly cheap! Why were we never in contention?
Because we're not in the CL.

Actually that's a very good choice, he's probably the replacement for marco reus?
I'd guess so if it was true. I can't see anything official about it though, just a few rumour newspaper articles, so I must have gotten it from one of those

€4.9m for the 50%. Apparently they've invested around €6-7m total. There are rumours that we've had a bid of around £9-10m rejected today.

James Rodriguez rumours going around as well. I'm not going to get excited over that atm, though.
So what, he'd be worth €13-14m to them?

That's 10-12m quid to us. Young attackers in Italy are usually treated like ****, see Giovinco and yet he's starting for a big club and in the Italy squad. Considering he's been great for Rodgers before, he's worth 12mil imo.

Seeing as Roma like him I'd imagine it would take something like that to get him. We'll see, though.

I guess shops have been receiving stock of it now ready for launch and some staff member somewhere like a JJB sneaked in and tried on one...?

Wonder when the official launch will be.. start of July I assume.

Also: has anyone received their new members packs yet? I can't remember when they said we'd get them..

    Brilliant!

And then he said "Jesus Christ". He'll get in trouble for that.

Borini confirmed by Roma. Guess that's one of our potential signings gone. Along with Diame but that could have just been a rumour.

Meanwhile according to Duncan on twitter, Sigurdsson is on holiday, hence the delay, and hopefully we'll sign him next week

Not neccessarily. Roma owned 50% of him already didnt they? So i think he could still be sold, it will just cost more money

they now own him 100%. They'll possibly keep him until we can make a very good offer, so maybe we'll back off as we don't want to overprice on players again.

That third kit looks better than our away one.. but what is with the orange? Since when has orange got anything to do with Liverpool, ever?

Carra is so blunt on the itv coverage. It makes me laugh. And have you noticed how he tries to take over Adrian Chiles role by asking questions directed at the other panelists.. and then whoever he asked answers whilst looking Chiles as if that's some sort of rule loool

I think we have a very good chance of buying Borini and it makes total sense for Rodgers and for Liverpool. I suspect if we got Borini, we'd still be after another striker since we did get rid of Kuyt.

People on twitter keep reporting that Spurs are hijacking the Sigurdsson deal. That makes no sense whatsoever. Spurs are not in a much better position than us. They haven't got CL football which really is the only thing they had over us in the first place. Don't forget people, admist all this ****e we are still Liverpool Football Club and they are Tottenham ****ing Hotspur. Only they manage to forfeit an almost assured place in top 3 to their greatest rivals and then get fourth but STILL get no CL. REMEMBER IT!

The whole reason Sigurdsson stalled his deal with Swansea was because Rodgers left, and guess who has Rodgers now? Considering he suffered because of a manager not rating him earlier on at Hoffenheim you'd think he'd be smart and move to Liverpool where he knows the manager and he knows how highly the manager thinks of him. We will be signing Gylfi, it's only a matter of time!!

I don't like adrian chiles at all, he's just so out of his depth, I quite like carragher as a pundit, he wasn't even overrating englands chances against italy. Today I just started laughing at adrian chiles though, he should be sacked. The spain need a big man up front, they must do it for comedy. Martinez even looked like he was bursting with laughter at chiles.

I've forever said this, spurs are overrated and have been for the past 2 seasons, got 4th due to you guys having a poor season, then fluke it in the CL to the quarters against milan and get destroyed by madrid.

Add to the fact that they couldn't even get 3rd place when they were 15 points ahead of arsenal and a point ahead of man united at one point mid season. They have to go joint top with valencia for biggest bottlejobs of the season last year.

Spurs have had two top four finishes in the past 10 years they've been trying. One of them (this one) doesn't even result in champions league football. They've won, what is it, one trophy since 91? And that was the Carling Cup. How people suddenly think this club are suddenly major competitors is beyond me!?! It's impossible to think of them as a threat. Considering what we've been going through for the past three years Spurs should be steaming ahead of us like City have done but no they'll be playing Europa League footie with us and another trophy more behind.

I know the 15 points ahead of Arsenal thing is so cringeworthy, especially with all that 'Mind The Gap'' and ''Are we finally the biggest club in North London'' or even worse ''Are we the biggest club in London'' stuff they did.. as if finishing above Arsenal was their greatest priority.. Very Everton-like. At the end of it all they finished with no CL and no trophies while Arsenal qualified for the CL despite the worst start in 50 years and Chelsea did a cup double.

Bit hypocritical of me to say this because I think we were about that much ahead of Everton at one point in the season but at the end of it we finished 8th and they 7th. It would have been no better if we'd got 7th and stayed above Everton. That's Spurs mentality.

Tbh, you had a better season than everton, relative to size of the club and their resources they did better, but you got around the same points total and a cup, much better than everton.

I've said that chelsea 12 years ago were better than the current spurs team last season and everyone laughed at me... yet they got a better points total and final position than spurs have ever had in the prem(75 points and 3rd place) spurs are pants, forever overrated by the media and play the wounded dog card because they don't have a wad of cash like the other big clubs(even though they spent big on players over the past few years, people act like modric was a free transfer).

That's rubbish really. Gylfi will only go to Swansea/Liverpool. Liverpool most probably. Slight chance of him staying but that's all.
