If I did all my A2 exams in January...
Would I have to come back to school after that for anything (except coursework where I'd come in)?
I know I should ask my school but in holiday at the moment and I was wondering if anyone had any experience in this. Would like to have more spare time instead of going school after January and wasting more of my time.
If anyone has any idea about this it'd be great thank you a lot I appreciate it.
I wanna do this so I can spend more time with making money/volunteering and other useful things.Last edited by Domxmb; 19-05-2012 at 19:39. -
Re: If I did all my A2 exams in January...Good point. I'll look into that(Original post by bananaterracottapie)
i dont think you can take all of your a2 exams in january anyway, i think some modules are only available in june so it's worth checking
)
edit: I think I could I looked my a levels up (math, bio, chem, phys)Last edited by Domxmb; 19-05-2012 at 19:18. -
Re: If I did all my A2 exams in January...
I did my chemistry A level in January, all I had to do was to come in and do the coursework experiments every now and again. For maths I assume you wouldn't have to, but the others you would, unless you could convince your teachers to let you do it all beforehand.

Re: If I did all my A2 exams in January...Yeah that's what I was sorta expecting. Do you think I'd legally have to come into school or since it's sixth form where you're voluntarily there you can just not go anymore after you've done everything?(Original post by Chow mein)

No AQA for me(Original post by ThumbsUp)
if you're doing aqa chem, bio and phys, i know for a fact they only do unit 5 exams in June. But if you're not on aqa then ignore my comment
haha.
What you mean? They know I don't really need them (I have a hard time paying attention I swear I got adhd or something lmao) I can only learn by myself and even then half the time I'm goofing off :/. I don't think they'd mind much if it is allowed by the school or whatever (except for maybe one teacher who hates me because of this fact lol).(Original post by Minotauro)
I suppose you could, but I don't think your teachers will be okay with it.Last edited by Domxmb; 21-05-2012 at 19:24. -
Re: If I did all my A2 exams in January...Well I don't see why they'd keep you if you'd have done everything, and anyway since when did people start going into sixth form every day?(Original post by Domxmb)

Re: If I did all my A2 exams in January...well my school has something that you have to have a 95% attendance or something lol. In my gcse years I went to a different school though and had 80% and they didn't mind which was nice when I wanted to take mini holidays between breaks between terms.(Original post by Chow mein)

Won't be a problem since I got decently high ums marks and if I study even for a bit I'll definetly get A's so it won't be an issue.(Original post by isp)
First of all you are right it doesn't take too long to learn a module, although what if you don't achieve the right grades which you need for your firm choice?Last edited by Domxmb; 21-05-2012 at 19:25. -
Re: If I did all my A2 exams in January...If you're confident about getting the grades then go for it. I'm doing the same with Maths and Further Maths.(Original post by Domxmb)

Re: If I did all my A2 exams in January...Yeah my math teacher already wanted me to do it but I didn't see any point because I didn't think about doing it with my other a-levels as well.(Original post by isp)

Re: If I did all my A2 exams in January...
The best plan is:
- See what you got in August. If you need to do retakes, then obviously you should spend your January doing those.
- If your ASs are fine, then get a head-start on your A2 work and ask your teachers about taking some/most of your modules early.
Chances are, you wouldn't be able to (and really shouldn't!) take all of your modules in January. However, doing about 4 would be fine, making June that little bit less stressful.
Good luck & I hope you do/did well on your ASs.

Re: If I did all my A2 exams in January...Yeah. I mean, you could definitely take the exams if you're willing to pay for them, but if you don't do that well first time round, you'll want to do it again in June, which is more expensive than just paying for one set of exams.(Original post by Domxmb)
