    OCR S1
    Am I allowed to use the sigma notation in my working out, rather than having to do the full calculation for S1 OCR?

    Either should be fine really, I can't see the examiners discriminate for simple addition. Although do make it as clear as possible.

    Ah ok thanks. Because using sigma make it so much fast when doing probability questions.
