Re: Simple trig question help pleasesin(theta)/cos(theta) = 2/5 - This is right.(Original post by asarwar_95)
Hi. This is a simple 1 mark Question that I unfortunately cant do. Maybe I am overlooking something can someone explain why this is.
Given that 5 sin (theta) = 2cos (theta) Find the value of tan (theta)?
I know sin(theta) / cos (theta) is tan (theta). Therfore shouldn't the answer be 5/2 as it is 5sin(theta equalling 2cos(theta)? The mark scheme says 2/5 instead. Can someone please explain why this is?
Divide each side by cos theta then divide by 5. -
Re: Simple trig question help pleaseNo the answer is 2/5. If in doubt take it one step at a time.(Original post by asarwar_95)
