Actuary exams and exemptions
Can I take the actuary CT exams while I'm studying a degree in university? Do I have to register myself as a student member before I am eligible to take the exams? I'm studying BSc MORSE(3 years) which actually gives me at most 4 exemptions in the CT papers and I would like to pass maybe 2 or 3 more CT papers before working in an insurance company or taking a master degree in actuarial science.

Without your degree completed, you will only be eligible to sit the first exam CT1 as a non-member. Once you pass that, you will have to register as a student and you will be able to sit the others.
CT1 is also the exam you are most likely to gain an exemption in, is it worth spending money on it when you'll gain an exemption anyway at the end of your degree?
Taking professional exams while at university is a tall order, despite CT exams being the first level they really can't be taken lightly. There is a lot of work involved.
You should complete your degree first, enjoy being young and carefree while you can. Get a 1st or 2.1 and you'll be able to get on an Actuarial grad scheme anyway. Not everyone who goes on to become an Actuary has an Actuarial Science degree.
