Segregation of George and Lennie (Mice and Men)
I've been sitting on this idea of conveying the segregation of George and Lennie to the rest of the ranch workers, but i'm not sure whether im just thinking way to deep into this. Anyway, my idea is, that Curley, Curley's Wife, Candy, Crooks, all have the letter C to start. Slim has an S to show how he is different from the other workers, as he has power and authority. However, George and Lennie don't fit this pattern, does this not show that Steinbeck has tried to subtly segregate them from the other workers?
Thoughts?
