Can you review this camcorder for me?
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/canon-l...99675-pdt.html
Can't find any reviews on it but it looks like a decent recorder.
Main things I want:
Decent videos
Time stamp
And I'm not technological in the slightest... -
Re: Can you review this camcorder for me?sadly manners have seem to be forgotten nowadays, I work at a bar, i'd be lucky to get 5 people in a night to say please and thank you(Original post by DanBrwn)
Hmm, this is strange.
I can't see the word "please" or the words "thank you" in this whole post... -
Re: Can you review this camcorder for me?
No, I can't - I don't own it. Nor would I, even if I did own it, for this reason:

Re: Can you review this camcorder for me?They have their disadvantages for recording though, including you can't record for too long.(Original post by pixelfrag)
I'd rather go with a DSLR to be honest. They record beautiful video AND allow you to take beautiful pictures. Well worth the investment. -
Re: Can you review this camcorder for me?That's true, I think the maximum on my one (canon 550D) is 30 minutes. But hey, who records for 30 minutes straight? Just record, then stop recording, change memory cards and start recording again! Most camcorders that recorded onto the mini discs could only do 30 minutes as well due to minidiscs only having a 30 minute capacity. sure these ones have the inbuilt hard drive, but are you really going to be holding your arm up for 30 mins?(Original post by TheSownRose)

Yeah you could use a tripod if you need lengthy video I guess, it all depends on OP's preference.Last edited by pixelfrag; 20-05-2012 at 20:23. -
Re: Can you review this camcorder for me?It depends on what you're doing as to whether or not it's practical to change after 30 minutes. I don't pretend to know a lot about camcorders, but if you want/'need' to record something for an hour or two, you could get a digital one, put a high capacity memory card in and go for hours. Regulations prevent you doing the same with a DSLR camera.(Original post by pixelfrag)

Re: Can you review this camcorder for me?That is true I guess, plus having the confidence of knowing you don't have a time limit(Original post by TheSownRose)

It all depends on what OP wants to do with her cam! And whether she's ever thought about a dslr :3

Re: Can you review this camcorder for me?So why bother posting?(Original post by TheSownRose)

I may not have been that pleasant in my op but nor are you in this post! -

It's just for assignment submissions- only for a few minutes and to use for my dissertation when I'm recording my animal subjects- hopefully 15 mins recording time per animal.
Thanks -

I'm just worried that a camcorder is a bit of a limited investment but if you're sure you don't want a really nice photo camera too, then by all means the one you've chosen should be fine. -
Re: Can you review this camcorder for me?Well sorry but to be honest you are asking people to do something for you for nothing. Asking them to take time our of their day to help your lazy ass.(Original post by Pawsies)
Sorry, but tbf this is an online forum. I never see people say please or thank you...
Thanks.
Thank you is the very least I would expect to see here.

Re: Can you review this camcorder for me?I don't see why you are turning this into an online debate. Seriously, I have looked for online reviews- there is none. I was hoping for some advice on whether it looked like a decent camcorder but it seems some people would rather debate.(Original post by DanBrwn)

Re: Can you review this camcorder for me?I just pasted 'CANON Legria HF M307' into Google and got four reviews within the first five results (excluding the sponsored ones)...(Original post by Pawsies)
