Me and two other house mates will be moving into a five-bedroom house this September and are looking for two students to join us this academic year (2012/13). We are all friendly and fun second year, Bangor Uni students starting our third year this September.

The house is semi-detached with five furnished bedrooms, a spacious living room, spacious kitchen, two bathrooms, a toilet and in excellent condition. The house is located in Lower Bangor, near the high street and 10 minutes walk from the Science buildings and Main Arts. Rent is £280 per/month; starting in September and ending in May/June. A £200 refundable deposit is required but no summer retainer/rent is needed.

Hiya, my name is Cathy and I'm starting a lower primary pgce in Bangor in September, I graduated from Bangor last summer and will be back to start my teacher training on 3rd Sept (abit earlier than everyone else starts!) I was wondering if you had any pictures of the rooms available, and some more info about what's included in the price etc. would be great to get my housing sorted as I know I've left it a little late!

Hi Cathy,

In terms of pictures we will be moving in (just leaving some stuff there) next week so I'll see if I can get any. Like I said there are two rooms available so hopefully I'll get pictures for you to see which you might be interested in.

The price of £280 per month includes just water. The house runs on a top-up meter for gas and electric; the previous five house mates would put in £20 a month each (£10 each for gas and £10 each for electric). We were told that obviously it would cost more in the winter, less in the summer etc. The only other payments are internet and a TV Licence fee.

In our current house we are with Sky which gives us unlimited internet access and is about £5-ish a month (that is between four people). We're hoping to get the same deal with Sky or something similar so that price should remain the same. We'd be supplying a TV too and the tenants living there this year were fined for not having a licence so we're definitely going to get one. It is £29.10 each (I think) for the whole year but you should get some of that back as we'd refund it when we leave May/June time.

Hi guys,

First of all sorry for the majorly delayed reply! I swear I am actually really organised. Anyway, yes both rooms are still available and I should be getting pictures of the rooms (and the rest of the house) this week from the other house mates who took them. I do actually mean it this time!

So, if you're ok with it (ja keane) could you send me your email address, in a private message or whatever suits you, and I'll contact you that way. I check my email way more often than this. If you'd rather stay in contact on here, it's no problem, just say

To answer your question though the house is located at the end of the high street at no. 4 Glyn/Glynne Road, Bangor, LL57 1AH. You should be able to see it with that address on Google Street View too. I've got a copy of the contract now so I can let you know more specific details too.
