    Will AS resits harm entry into Russel Groups?
    Hi,

    I may have to retake two of my exams - maybe even have to take two more for the second time.

    To what extent would this harm entry into a cause such as Politics and Philosophy at a Russel Group University?

    Thanks in advance.

    I've resat the entirety of AS german, and all of my universities knew about this when they recieved my application. They didn't seem terribly upset by it...

    I think the likes of Oxford and Cambridge might twitch at your application but if you improve your grades to the result required I don't think most of the Russell group will mind at all.

    I think the only time it might hinder you is when for example;

    A kid gets 3 A's no retakes.
    You get 3 A's with retakes.

    they might choose the other kid...

    If anything they like for you to mention if you are taking a resit if you state something along the lines of "you achieve my highest possible grade" or something because It shows you are determined to do well. I recieved offers for 3 Russell group universities for a pretty competitive course with AS grades BCC. I didn't believe they would accept me but hey

    Let them know I don't think it will affect anything at all
