Amir Khan VS Ortiz
Since both these fighters have had their fights cancelled due to oponents being positive on drug tests, I think these 2 fighters have a chance to fight each other in June meaning Khan will replace Berto. Also the winner will most likely face Mayweather as Ortiz wants his rematch.
Who do you think would win out of Khan vs Ortiz?Last edited by singhisking2k; 20-05-2012 at 22:35. -
Re: Amir Khan VS Ortiz
If Khan v Ortiz were to happen at 147, then the winner would definitely be one giant step closer to fighting Mayweather. I think if it was pre-arranged fight before the whole Peterson/Berto shenanigans then Khan would win with his blistering speed and maturity howevever, with their fights being cancelled I would imagine it would be a nervous affair for both fighters. An unexpected cancellation for a fighter can be a spanner in the works, it can really knock you off your stride. However, these are worldclass fighters we are talking about, so if they did fight then I imagine it would be an epic battle that would go the distance.

Re: Amir Khan VS Ortiz
Its not going to happen, yet anyway. Ortiz got this Lopez fighter to step in who in all honesty is not very good and Khan has got Garcia, which is an interesting fight that I would have liked to of seen next anyway. I think Khan will keep his discipline to beat Garcia, who will be stopped late or lose wide on points after giving it a brave effort.

Re: Amir Khan VS OrtizThe way Khan was going on about it I genuinely don't think he thought he'd lost, or at least legitimately with all the judging errors etc. Don't think he will be affected by it too much as he was out to prove a point in the rematch, and going by his history in his last defeat, he came back a totally different animal to what he was before, he's pretty mentally strong in my opinion(Original post by mynameisq)
We don't know what effect losing to Peterson will have on Khan, yes he knows that Peterson cheated but still for months he had thought he lost, even though he always assumed it wasn't fair, deep down he might have accepted it. -
