    I want healthy looking skin.
I don't have terrible skin, just the odd few spots here and there but I do have quite a few black heads. I also have dark circles under my eyes. Do you have any advice or skin routines that you swear by?

If you don't already have one, I'd start a skin routine. The most effective way of cleansing the skin is by using hot water. Hot water open up your pores because of the heat and is the best way to get rid of black heads, along with exfoliating your skin. I make sure I wash my skin with warm/hot water every morning and night. I also exfoliate my skin every 2-3 days with a sponge and Simple facial wash, you can get the normal type or one with salts that works sepcifically for spots, although I don't really see a difference in each product. To close your pores and give your skin a natural shine, people say use cold water once you've washed your face with hot water. I used to do this although I can't really be bothered nowadays. Also if you don't moisturise your skin already, then that's another thing that makes your skin look more natural and softer! For moisturisers, I use a range of products since I have really dry skin in cold weather or when I first wake up, but if you're skin isn't all that bad you could probably get away with just using Simple Light Moisturiser unless there's a brand you may prefer. For spots I've sworn by Witch Sticks for years. However, on new spots it can feel like it's burning your skin when you use a Witch Stick, although the results are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone if you don't mind a little pain on your skin for a few mintues. For the circles under your eyes, I guess more sleep is the only way to really get rid of them. I would never waste my money on those products that you roll under your eyes to 'get rid of the bags'.

Pretty much agree with all of the above

    Heres a few tips though.

-Be aware of how often you to touch your skin and rest you head on your hands. Think how much stuff your hands have touched in a day and then your sweating it into the skin on your face ontop of makeup. That won't look very healthy!
-Try have your hair out of your face for a while, try french braiding your hair away during the night too if you can, hair has an insulating effect on your face so it will sweat your face and not look great
-Give your face as many make up breaks as you can. If you come home and know you're not going back out, take your make up off early.
    -Get lots of sleep!
-Drink lots of water. Such a generic thing to say, but its really true. Aim to have a glass of water or bottle of water with you by your side all the time.
    - If you can't be bothered to change your bedsheets really frequent, at least change your pillow sheets often.
    - Make sure you get fresh air everyday
    - Of course, have plenty of good food. Your body is only going to look as good as the stuff you put into it.

Re: I want healthy looking skin.
I used to have a few spots and quite a few blackheads, but now it's decreased a lot since I started my skincare routine.

    Morning and night I:
    - wash my face with warm water
    - cleanse my face with a facial scrub
    - use my Simple cleansing toner
    - use my Simple cleansing lotion
    - and then once everything has dried I use a Simple facial moisturiser

Once or twice a week I always use a deep penetrating face mask.
I also try and drink at least 2l of water a day, get a good nights sleep and take my makeup early if I'm not going on/don't wear makeup if I'm not going out at all.

Drink 4 litres of water a day. Eat lots of fruit and veg, more than your 5 a day.

Drink tonnes of water and moisturise lots... I don't have a specific facweash or anything, just plain old water.

I know I said tonnes (not literally!) Isn't 4 litres a bit much?

It is pretty hard to drink too much water. As long as you don't have it all in one go you will be fine, you will just need the toilet a lot.

I used to use Clinique's 3 Step System and my skin had never looked better. I stopped using it for a year or so because I couldn't afford it, and my skin has just gone to **** recently. I bought it again last month and the difference is amazing. I have redness in my cheeks, and that's improved so much, it's helped to fade marks left over from spots, I barely get any spots now and my skin is so smooth! I swear by it now.

Also, aspirin face masks work wonders for spots!

My skin had improved enormously since I started using this stuff every morning and evening, and this stuff a couple of times a week.

I love that St Ives scrub.

I also recommend Clinique 3 step. I am a bit of a Clinique addict. Bonus Time is on at the mo in House of Fraser if you want to get anything, OP!
