WJEC GCSE English Literature Exam Help! Urgent!
I'm really sorry but I'm so desperate and panicked. Basically, on Tuesday I have a 40% exam and my teacher is so terrible that all she's done is talked about the book, did about 2 hours on poetry, and that's about it.

I'm doing Of Mice and Men and the Unseen Poetry. I really need help on how to answer the questions, how to plan, what to include, and any last minute stuff I should revise. I've been doing all I can on my own (no help from my rubbish teacher), writing flash cards on each chapter and character, highlighting key quotes from all characters, trying a few poems, reading my flash cards, and reading the book once to get a rough idea and again in detail, underlining key quotes.

Here's an outdated past paper, though I think the questions are still similar

Also: the choice questions. How do you advise deciding which ones to do? At first glance, the empathy ones generally seem easier, but I feel that is deceiving at I imagine it is very difficult to talk about stuff as a character and not knowing everything that is happening (i.e. dramatic irony) and that the analysis questions would be simpler and more like the first question. Is there a method I should use when deciding what question to do?

Here's last year's paper which should be on the updated specification:

Sorry for the long read but it's really necessary, if you guys help me I would be eternally grateful!

It seems as though you are doing the right thing, making flash cards etc. Sorry my english lit isnt that great either and i dunno what to do about unseen poetry
But i think for the essay question choose one which you know you could do better in...

    And also, good luck
If youre doing the empathy question throw in as much knowledge as you can about the play...talk about the dramatic irony (dog being killed, relates to dog being killed??)
    Focus on themes and characters

I realised that its unlikely that theyd ask empathy its more of what is the function of this character
    Either that or themes.
    Good luck
