Sociology Unit 2: SCLY2 - Education and Research Methods
Does anyone have any predictions to what will come up in the exam?

I'm hoping there isn't any marketisation.

Apparently the history of education/education policy is due as a 20 marker.

marketisation is when schools try to advertise in different ways, in order to be the best and for parents to chose between schools. whereby successful schools expand and unsuccessful schools have to improve or face funding cuts... hope this helps

My teacher attended a seminar and told me that the chief examiner was stressing 'Experiments' as possible research in context question so don't overlook that. Also, don't think that they have to give one primary and secondary research method to analyse and therefore pick a few each. Know them all because as the students who took the January 2012 paper know, two secondary sources came up which really must of shook them. Documents and Official statistics I think it was..
