Controversial Issues Survey
Hello!
I am a university student in need of participants for a survey that I am conducting for a psychology course.
The focus of this survey relates to how non-American people respond to current political issues that are prevalent in the United States.
This survey consists of only 10 yes/no questions and should take only a few minutes of your time.
I’ve posted the links to TWO different surveys but please complete only ONE.
They’re the same survey but worded slightly different.
It would be really helpful if you guys could help out a student in need, and feel free to share this survey with others if you’d like.

Survey 2: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3H2DRJC
Thank you!

Re: Controversial Issues Survey
If you want to get the best results then you really need to randomize which set of questions a person gets, because at the moment you have selection bias where people can look at both quizzes and then pick the one with the wording they like best (and this may be correlated with their answers). It would take about an hour to learn the basic javascript required to give people one of the two quizzes at random when they click the link.
I mean if this is just for an intro class then it probably doesnt matter, but if this were for a large project or a dissertation then it would be a serious issue.Last edited by poohat; 21-05-2012 at 09:50. -
Re: Controversial Issues Survey
@Aphotic Cosmos: No other participant information will be needed. Thanks!
@poohat: Thanks for bringing up this problem. I've thought about how to solve this issue myself but I've decided that the possible selection bias will be minimal at best, and if worst comes to worst I could easily remove one of the surveys later on. This survey won't be used for a dissertation or anything, just a small project that's all.
