... and I suppose it depends on what you're writing it on... but I personally would churn out a first draft so you've at least got something to hand in if you don't get anything else done because stuff comes up. Then go back and improve what you've written as much as you can for tomorrow

Step 1. Disconnect your router (Unless your essay involves relevant points that can be found on the internet).
Step 2. Turn off your phone.
Step 3. Get all your books that you need and sit down in a quite place with no distractions. I sit at the kitchen table.
Step 4. Have some brain food and hydrate with water! This is a key part! Brain food consists of things like bananas, porridge, etc.
Step 5. Get cracking!
