    How long for past papers?
How long do yuo tend to leave for past papers? 1 week? 2 weeks?...none at all? I'm just curious because I feel like I need another week or so before I can even start bio 5 and chem 5 past papers and the exams are in just under 4 weeks! Thank you

I start past papers a few months in advance. However, I only begin them after I'm done with the syllabus.

The reason I begin them so early is to give me time to identify any systemic errors and post them up on the forum.

I see you have an offer from Oxford. What are you planning on studying ?

Ahhh, fair enough. You must start revision extremely early then! I've already gone over the bio 5 syllabus but I'm still not confident enough for the past papers as I need to learn things more thoroughly.

I'll hopefully be reading biological sciences The Ox offer is really stressing me out though. If I don't get the grades this year I might reapply for English though!

I do them when I'm confident I know everything. So for C2 that will probably mean that I'll do about 5 in the next 3 days.

I'm slightly different - I usually start them alongside learning the syllabus. I start by printing off a past paper, finding the mark scheme and then writing the correct answers in the past paper, and then annotating it as I go along. The mark scheme is the most important, I find, as studying it helps you understand the type of answer the examiners are looking for, what questions almost always come up, the right word, etc.

After learning the syllabus, I do full past papers without the annotations, which I usually start about a month before the exams

I normally do 1 a few months before the exam then do all of them once I have learnt the whole unit, then try to do them over again and spot patterns

it depends how many are available. If there are only 1 or 2 I would wait til about a week before but if there are more then start earlier so you can spot any areas of weakness.

If you leave it long enough you could probably redo past papers and not remember the answers
