My tutor is not helpful at all
I'm in my second year of university and I'm sure I've failed, By that i mean I'll pass this year with an average of about 50% I've been depressed and anxious since before i started my first year. In mt second year i joined clubs and made the effort to get to know people. It worked for the first few weeks but then my anxiety destroyed everything and it was ruined. My exam performance in semester 1 was poor and i failed one exam and will be retaking it.

In semester 2 i made the effort to attend all lectures and i managed about 98% of them. The material however is much harder and I've been revising but none of it is going in and the exam performance of late has been awful. I've been getting no sleep and I've lost my appetite so the anxiety means that i go to the exam room feeling like I'm going to die.

My personal tutor just says "don't worry don't worry" which is very unhelpful. He's Indian and he doesn't listen to what i say which i find incredibly irritating and I'm sick of him because sometimes i don't think he understands me and i don't understand him.

The retakes I'll be doing in the summer i think will be capped at 40% even with my extenuating/mitigating circumstances which means that I'll most likely graduate with a 2:2 which is just pointless.

I don't know who else to speak to in my department because i sent my tutor an email last week and he didn't reply at all, so i had to go and see him myself. I've been seeing a counsellor as well as having a mentor to discuss any problems that i have. I don't know if i'll be allowed to repeat a year with the marks uncapped or do exam resists of all the modules i did badly on in the summer and have them uncapped which i don't mind doing because i have nothing else to do in the summer. Does anybody have any clue as to what i should do?

Why is it significant that he is Indian?

I wish I could help you OP, all I can do is wish that things turn out better for you. Don't forget that things always turn out well for you in the end, and if things aren't good then you know it isn't the end yet, hold tight and don't give up
