What kind of curls do you have?
    What products do you use?

I've been looking for a thread like this, I'm sick of my curls not doing what I want them to!

I'm not aware of this scale thing, but my hair has loser curls which start a little further down my hair; it's about waist length so it gets weighed down a lot.

I have absolutely no idea what haircut to get or products to use because nothing ever seems to make it completely manageable. At the moment, I just brush it through after washing, put some smoothing cream in and dry it slowly wrapped around my finger so that I can make it curl in the direction I want. I don't brush it other than this because it separates the curls and causes a lot of frizz!

The problem is that this is really time consuming, and I'd like to be able to brush my hair as I don't always feel particularly presentable with unbrushed hair (although I don't like the alternative either!). I'd love to hear some tips from everyone!

Have you tried using a wide-tooth comb (or just normal comb) in place of your brush? I've found that brushing mine drives it mad! Combing it is much more gentle and puts less stress on your hair. You will find that if your hair was shorter, it would be curlier and more manageable...perhaps mid-way down your back? You'll still have length, but should also have more curl definition and volume

I wash mine, and leave the conditioner on for about 3 minutes (ish), then I just go through my hair with my fingers (I detangle when the shampoo is on). I slightly towel dry it by scrunching my hair from the ends towards the roots, then I apply Macadamia moisturising oil, and leave it to dry naturally

i have loose waves, i either use no product at all or any sea salt spray and leave it to dry naturally
i like lee stafford's and gosh's but that's been discontinued, i am gutted that was the best
first though after shampoo and conditioning i'll use joico's moisture recovery leave in spray conditioner and comb that through

I didn't find the right hairstyle which suits me yet, coz it's tooo frizzy.. n I've tried to make it straight a few times, but almost every time after several months, it turned back again.. I totally have no idea with it @.@

Have you tried using a natural oil on your hair to help with the frizz? What shampoo/conditioner do you use?

I use a wide toothed comb when it's wet, but I've never dared when it's dry. I'll give it a go, thanks!

My hair is more wavy than curly most of the time. For those who use mousse, what do you suggest? I've tried scrunching gels and I think they weigh my hair down more, so I've been using a Boots mousse ever since.

    Any suggestions?

When I use mousse, I use a Pantene ProV perfect curls one

I use Bedhead tigi 'foxy curls' shampoo and conditioner it's really nice and sulfate free - so it's good for curly hair!

Also, use a hot oil treatment once again

Do hot oil treatments work? I bought some of the little sachet things a while ago but I haven't got around to using them yet.

    Darker-haired than yesterday :P
I usually go for a reddish tint, but I've gone for a really dark brown this time as I'm in Spain all summer and I don't want the dye to fade and leave my hair gingery-blondish!

    How are you?
