thought source 3 was an actual mess - i know it said that it was due to different ideologies and their emergence as potential superpowers at this point and i remember contrasting it with source 1 which said that America was almighty powerful whilst source 3 did mention that the USSR was aswell. i said other things that i cannot remember but looking back i wish i said SO much more i really need an A

how did you find it? forgive my awful typing i'm not on my usual laptop

yeah i did basically the exact same that i can remember, even got that naughty document thing in to contrast the us perception of soviet expansionism :P same for source 3 don't think it helped that i had 10 minutes to deal with that source (id cross referenced it before but in terms of looking at it as a whole) but yeah i mentioned ideology for it and i think i talked about us policy linking it to source 1 and the power vacuum and a rivalry between the two. haha from what you've said it sounds like an A in terms of content tbh based on what we saw as examples in class i think the 40 mark is more generous with marks i was pushing for an A* but i think i blew it on the 40 mark :/

I do see why people may have found the sources difficult because if they based it on the role of individuals mainly as their main point it could be limited especially with Reagan but don't worry too much! It's because I focused on both terms of Reagan, his re-militarisation and economics term then the negotiations term with START and the summits etc. The last source was full of economics so I cross analysed it with that and the Reagan sentence in the Second Source. I'm sure you've done really well! Don't worry about it It is also because I did a few mocks with sources similar to that and I love talking about economics and the decline of communism in my end of the cold war essays haha obviously also gorbachev's role but in two different ways. I have pretty much the same argument in terms of cause and consequence, I argued the chronology of economic-Gorbachev-protests-fall but I think my biggest failure was in structuring the sources into the answer. Most of the time I only quoted phrases to argue my points but I don't think I ever analyzed them as a whole much... I didn't go...

Source 1 states... and it is backed up by... it contradicts Source 2... etc.

I didn't do as much as I wanted to with the second source either as I ran out of time. So YEAH. I've only ever done two Section B essays and one essay plan .

I really need the A for my uni offer!

Oh I'm sure you did enough with the sources, don't worry too much about it!! Good luck with everything though, if you got an A last year you probably will get one this year!

I can barely remember the Opposition of the New Deals so I'm glad that a nicer part A came up (I spent a LOT of time on the boom). Same! it was easier question than I though. I was expecting some obscure choice like impact on women, or more on the red scare or urban vs. rural or something. lol
But it seems like they went easy one us. Both questions were not so bad this time.
I forgot the paper was 2 hours..lol..and then when I realized I spent to long on Section A and then wrote fail conclusion for both!

Yes! We had to watch this. I loved it how one night Hitler went to bed looking fairly normal and then woke up with his hair completely changed and a toothbrush moustache . The acting just make me cringe inside, also, the man who played Hitler was in The Full Monty... I'll never get that mental image of Hitler doing a striptease out of my head o.O

A girl in my class told me about "Hitler" (the guy who played him) being in that film actually, though I've never seen it before.

My favourite bit was when Hitler was in hospital with a blindfold after he got exposed to tear gas in WW1 - and finding out Germany was losing...

it makes me feel so much better that you wrote the same stuff as me!! exact same thing happened to me with source 3 don't worry i spent around 10 minutes on it, cross referencing it before slightly. seems like everyone found this paper a bit hard so hopefully we get really low grade boundaries! i hope you get your A*

Well the conclusion is quite important but as long as you made a little mini judgement at the end of each of your paragraphs then you should be fine, don't worry it's probably not worth that many marks

In my AS I left out the conclusion completely in one paper and ended up getting an A in that section so I wouldn't worry about it.
