Okay, I know it's mainly down to genetics and I'm PRETTY sure mine are good for facial hair. All the males in my family have pretty thick stubble so assuming that mine will follow the same path, it should be all good. HOWEVER, atm I've just hit 18 and I'm not getting stubble on my cheeks or jaw line. It grows above my lip, on my chin (and beneath it) and below my sideburns.

So are there any techniques I can use or supplements I can take (natural of course, herbal?) that may thicken it up or help it grow? I'm sure I'll get all the 'You won't want it once you've got it'. But it will come eventually so why not now?

Don't do anything! You'll have to shave for years once it all starts coming through and it ends up being a massive pain! I didn't get a decent stubble until well into my twenties (as did a lot of my friends). Sometimes guys never get full stubble on their face, it's just genetics. Please don't start taking anything to make the hair grow through quicker, because it won't just come on your face you'll get it everywhere.

The best tip I can give you is to start shaving several times week (with a decent razor, shaving foam etc). The best way to get hair to grow through to appear fuller is to just keep shaving it all away. It will grow back evenly and because of this appear more dense. You just have to kind of shave hair that isn't there which may seem odd, but it can yield some results in the mid term.

Another tip (if you have bum fluff more than stubble) is to buy a beard colourant (Just for Men do one) and apply this to the hair on your face. This again will make it appear fuller and thicker than it really is. If you're blonde, just make sure you buy a light brown or mid blonde shade otherwise it may look too dark.

I think you'll find 99% of men who don't want to grow a beard use razors. Its sort of a given.

I think he means use a razor or shaver to shave even the hair that looks really fine, this will make it grow back appearing thicker as the hair is thicker at the base. He didn't advise anyone to take anything, quite the opposite in fact. I can't see the bull****, he's not saying that's how everyone gets stubble, many men just do, but others can stimulate it in this fashion.

Shaving extra amounts does nothing, your hair doesnt think 'oh damn Simon just shaved me, I better work harder next time'
It will give each hair strand a blunt edge which makes it grow back with the appearance of being a tiny bit thicker. That's about it.

I'm 20 and South Asian yet I cant grow a stubble properly either.

I have tried to grow mine, but it's still look patches which doesn't look too good so I through that it I'm shaving and wait in future when I get proper stubble/beard look which I wanted I hope so. So shamle my best mate same age as me, but got proper massive facial hairs on his and he is hairy and I dont so that probably tell difference.

You cant, really. I have two smallish gaps on the each side of my mouth, and lots of people have patches.
