    History - Provinence
Could anybody help me with how to answer the second part of a history exam? I have my AS History exam tomorrow afternoon, a source based exam, and would like advice on how to answer the provinence part of the questions.

I don't know what i should be writing about or what i need to look for in the sources to see if they are reliable or not?

Any help would be massively helpful!!

    Thanks

Look at the date, the author, it's slant and judge it's reliability as a source to the question that you're asked. But seriously, I wouldn't suggest judging provenance in an AS exam, it's very GCSE.

im resitting this exam for the 3rd time tomorrow, lol. make sure you are to the point, and include words such as:
    utility
    consistency
    reliability
    situation
    purpose
    tone
    etc

make sure you make judgements throughout, e.g. "this source is a better piece of evidence than this source because...."

    hope thats helpful
