because making money makes you genetically superior, so when they were broke, where were their superior genes then, and this could be said for many people.

Jewish people were often only allowed in certain professions like jewellery making and money-lending, by law, as Christian rulers made use of their services but kept them away from other jobs and businesses. Those types of money-making roles, plus the need for Jews to try to support each other in times of hardship, helped some to become wealthy. However, there were also millions of poor Jews in Europe before the Second World War. Sadly, most of them are no longer with us to present a different picture of "Jewish wealth in Europe".

I feel like I'm stating the obvious, here, but it's the nurture, not the nature.

For instance, it isn't that Europeans are genetically superior to Africans; Simply that they have had (on average) better access to education, funding etc.

As for the Jews, it's very much tradition for them to keep within certain (high-paying) trades and routes of education. Such an ethos lends itself to having more "successful" members of a race - but it does not necessarily deem them naturally intelligent.

I doubt that all of these complicated factors can ever be fully untangled into simple explanations like genetic or access to education. The reality is that the history of the Jewish people is very complicated; they were subjected to extreme pressures that many other peoples were not; they developed an insular social structure that partially separated them from other peoples; they were confined into particular professions; they often valued education and argument; in some cases they became wealthy, in others not. The argument that all these complex things have resulted in superior genetic intelligence MIGHT be true, but I think it's hard to prove and I doubt that the alleged "science" behind it is as rigorous and objective as it could be.

I am also doubtful about simplistic tests generally like IQ and personality tests as indicating anything other than an aptitude for passing such tests. Intelligence comes in many forms and humans are smart, complex and flexible.
