Sorry about late reply..
It totally depends on 'your' definition of worth it :P
But i would say if you can, then try bournemouth because kent is second best. For me, I LOVE UKC :P
Actually we have only 1 teacher, that is David Brown. He is very good for animation but okay-ish for effects and compositing. So he can teach you basics of effects, like how to use 3d container, fields, constraints, but don't expect too much. We get regular industry visits from various studios, like MPC, double negative, the foundry etc. & they teach about an effect or talk about how is like to work in the industry.
The course is intense. I have spent non stop 26-27 hours in the lab when we were close to deadline. But i would say it is more like doing your own research and taking your own initiative to learn the effect or software. for example - teacher would help you make a fire using maya 3d container, but then it is upto you how you use this fire or change the fire or make something from it. i mean if you go for this course, you shouldn't stop at what teacher taught you, you should do your own research! And be prepared to do hard work all year long

Hey hdrockzz thanks for reply mate!
Yeah that's what I've heard that Kent is usually second choice after Bournemouth. I've been doing my BSc at Bournemouth. The thing with Bournemouth is that I'd like to go compositing side then yeah - I guess this would be my first choice. Since I better like 3D side of production then I guess Kent may come out as a good choice! But can you tell me if I will be allowed to choose my own path? Like if I want to go towards 3d character/environments production, am I gonna be allowed to?
Thanks!!
